March 1 - The Aftermath

The boys slept in until 8:30 - YES!! We spent the day at home today cleaning up from the party, relaxing and playing. The boys were digging into their presents and LOVING the balloons. Anth was pulling Gavin around in his new little wagon this morning. He thought it was pretty hilarious!

Last night, in the middle of present opening mayhem, we decided to keep the boys' presents from us wrapped and see if they would be interested in opening them when they weren't so distracted. They definitely showed more interest in them but it was mainly interest in eating the wrapping paper. One of the shirts we got them even ended up with a stain from the dye from the wrapping paper since the paper was wet with drool!! Hopefully it's not toxic!

Once we finished opening their gifts we decided to watch the closing ceremonies for the Olympics. We had it taped on our PVR from the day before. I fell asleep while we were watching it and ended up sleeping for about 3 hrs!!! I had planned on having a nap today anyways (it was the deal Anth and I made - I would get up with the boys in the morning if he let me have a nap during the day) but I did NOT plan on sleeping so long. I have to admit that it was nice though. I have been wanting to have a nice long nap for a long time!! I used to love napping but it's hard to get a good nap in with the kids around! Once I woke up we did a bunch of sorting and cleaning and, of course, playing. The boys can't get enough of their 'bubble car' - it's the car with the yellow roof. If they are at all whiney, all you have to do is put them in there and drive them around in it.

Kids are in bed now so time for some more relaxing. We may also play some UNO - we are LOVING that game lately!!
