Feb 28 - Happy 1st Birthday!

The boys must have been excited for their birthday this morning because Gavin was up at 6:30am and Carson was shortly behind him at 7:10am. They are usually up around 8-8:30 so this morning was really early although I must say that they seem to be trending toward an earlier wake up time lately. I'm praying that it doesn't get too early!!! We spent the morning doing some final preparation stuff. Decorating, cleaning, etc. Anthony's family decided to come over to watch the Canada vs. USA hockey game (YAY CANADA - WAY TO BRING HOME THE GOLD!!!) so we only had until about noon to get things done. I also had to make an emergency trip to the grocery store to get something to fix my pink firetruck cake. I have included a picture of the pink version and also the 'red sprinkles' version. Thank goodness I decided to do the sprinkles because it was definitely pink. Quote from Anth "Well I don't know too many fireman that would want to drive around in a salmon colored fire truck." We managed to get a few pics in of us and the birthday boys before everyone arrived.

The boys unimpressed with their chocolate cupcakes - they had been eating ALL day so they had NO interest in dessert.

Unfortunately, and obviously, the boys also had no interest in opening presents. Luckily their cousins (Eban, Bryce and Cohen) helped out!

Once the gifts were actually opened the boys started to take interest. They got so many great things!! Thanks Everyone!!

We all had such a busy and fun day. The boys are so lucky to be surrounded with so many people who love them and who wanted to spend their birthday with them. Thank you all once again!!
