After the walk, we fed them dinner and then it was back to the hospital for me and Carson. It took 4 pokes to finally get the IV - I kept telling him that maybe if he didn't get so chubby the nurses would be able to find a vein ;) They even tried warming his hands up with warm diapers but eventually had to put the IV in his foot.

Feb 10 - And.....Back to the Hospital
Both boys woke up happy this morning - YAY! AND Carson's rash was pretty much gone. We just decided to hang around the house in the morning and planned to take the kids for a walk in the afternoon. Just as the kids were about to wake up from their afternoon nap the phone rings and it's the pediatrician. Carson's blood culture came back positive :( Even though we were pretty sure that it was contaminated we still had to bring Cars back to the hospital to get a repeat blood culture, an IV and a dose of antibiotics. Despite all that we still went for our walk - it was such a beautiful day. We put the kids down the slide for the first time which I thought would be fun but it turned out to be uneventful. It seemed like the boys didn't even realize that anything was different - they had completely blank expressions on their faces!
