Feb 8 - Back in the Hospital :(

Carson woke up happy today with no fever. I thought we were out of the woods so I left the boys with Anth and went to do some running around. When I got home Carson was sleeping and when he woke up he had a rash all over his stomach and chest. I finally decided it was time to bring him in but, of course, the doctor's office was closed so it was back to the Walk-in Clinic. I had never been to the Walk-in Clinic until I had kids and now I've been 3 times!! When we finally got in to see the doctor Carson's rash had spread to his back. The doctor was not happy with the fact that Carson's tummy seemed to be distended so he sent us over to the Peds clinic to see a pediatrician. He was assessed by the nurse and then the resident and finally the pediatrician. It was decided that his spleen and liver were enlarged and we would be staying the night. ANOTHER hospital stay for Cars in his short little life. So after some bloodwork and a room change I finally got to put him down for the night at 10:30pm - he was EXHAUSTED!! I took a couple of pics with the camera on my phone of him snuggled up in his crib in the hospital. It's like old hat to him ;)

Anth had to work that night so my dad stayed with Gavin while we were at the clinic and then my mom showed up a little later to stay the night at our house.
