Feb 3 - Snuggling and Family Time

Anth got up with the kids again this morning which was so great since I've been battling a headache for a few days now. It's funny how your definition of sleeping in changes so much after you have kids. Before I had kids I used to sleep until at least 10am and sleeping in would be until around noon. Now if I get to sleep in until 10am it is amazing!! When Anth gets up with the boys he feeds them breakfast and then usually takes them downstairs and they play while he reads the paper and has a coffee. haha When did we get so old ? :) He took this picture of Gavin this morning crawling through our coffee table. Ever since the boys could move around on their own they have loved crawling back and forth on the shelf of the coffee table.

When it was time for their morning nap Anth brought Gavin into our room again and layed him down with me. We very rarely have the boys in our bed so it is a nice treat to snuggle, especially when it's with Gavin. Carson is our cuddler whereas Gavin usually prefers to be in his crib to sleep so it was really nice to snuggle him for his morning nap. Once the boys woke up (and these days they seem to be waking up within seconds of each other even when they are sleeping in different rooms) Anth brought Carson upstairs and we all hung out and played on our bed. The boys loved it and were just giggling like crazy!! So much fun!!

After lunch the boys get one of their two bottles for the day. I took a pic of our chubby bubby's drinking their bottle. Carson must not have had a long enough nap because he fell asleep while drinking his! So cute! Reminds me of when they were little.

Those of you who are on my facebook have likely seen the picture of Gavin from MONTHS ago with a wipe hanging out of his mouth. Well, his love for wipes has not subsided, although he is MUCH better at pulling them out and I often turn around to find him surrounded in a pile of wipes.

The boys are really starting to be more affectionate these days. They just crawl up to you and bury their face in your lap or if you pick them up they will bury their face in your chest. I love it! It feels like you're getting a real hug - although I'm sure I still have a while to wait for that. The boys are just coming over to attack me and bury their faces in my lap in the pic below. Crazy kids!

In the early evening we headed over to my parents for dinner and so Anth could help my dad with a few things in the yard. I forgot my camera :( so no pics from there but I'm sure there will be some over the year. My parents are going to be providing daycare afterall :) We headed home a little earlier - Carson was getting tired - put the boys to bed and now for some relaxing.

  1. You are so lucky to have your parents there to provide daycare for the boys...I am terrified about sending Nathan to daycare and don't even know if I will be able to get him into one!!!

  2. I know - I am so happy that they are around. It is hard to find a good daycare and expensive!
